This year’s cover features an illustration from Tracey Campbell Pearson’s Elephant’s Story, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux Books for Young Readers, a division of Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group. Pearson’s book, publishing in late October, is the sweet story of an elephant who finds both a lost book and a new friend…”
Elephant and Gracie at Book Expo America 2013 Here is Elephant’s post from my Facebook page. Macmillan reposted him on their Facebook page. Elephant is getting around…
“What does Elephant think about BEA?…Here he is contemplating the stairs up to the “floor”. The elevator is not an option for an elephant. Gracie just wanted to see all of the books. I was trying to rally them for the session on how to navigate Facebook…tcp”
Elephant goes to NYC for Book Expo America at the Javits Center…His book will be available in OCTOBER 2013….but his F&Gs will be hanging out at the Macmillan table…he is a little nervous about going to the big city…without being bound…will his pages get scattered about?….will they blow into the hudson?…there are all kinds of things an elephant can worry about!
It’s ok…Gracie will be there…I’ll be there…and lots of folks at Macmillan will there to keep an eye on him!
Still if you see an elephant wandering around NYC…looking a little befuddled…will you direct him towards the Javits Center…and if he looks hungry…give him a peanut?…thanks tcp
As soon as I began writing ELEPHANT’S STORY…I started seeing elephants everywhere I went! This one is confused.
He thought my publisher was still on Union Square in NY.
Wrong park….FSG moved up Broadway to the Flatiron Building.
They now look over Madison Park.
